Ms and Teen FACLA Media Presentation
Los Angeles— Despite the heavy rains and the raging the storm in California, scores of Filipino_American community members attended the presentation of candidates for Ms. FACLA and Ms. Teen FACLA to cheer and support their bets at the Filipino American Community of Los Angeles (FACLA) Social Hall last Saturday at 2;00 PM, March 01.
4 of 5 candidates for Ms. FACLA and 2 out of 3 candidates for Ms. Teen FACLA were present at the orientation meeting for the candidates and the presentation for the media by FACLA Directors at the FACLA Press Conference attended by members of the media.
Orientation and Candidates Presentation.
The Orientation meeting was presided by Ms, Bernie Targa, FACLA Director and Chair for Membership. Director Art Garcia, Secretary of the Board,Paul Julian, Bernie Targa-Ganon and Sid Balatan, all FACLA Directors presided at the press conference.
The candidates for Ms. FACLA were Monet Marual, Emitte Underwood,Precy Montero and Donna Canares. Absent was Cora Miller.
The candidates for Ms. Teen FACLA were Jazmine Morada and Caroline Jimenez. Candidate Mary Banawa did not make it.The next presentation and first canvassing for the ballots will be held in FACLA on March 29 and the second canvassing will held on April 20, 2014 at FACLA.
The winners will be crowned on April 26, 2014 on the 69th anniversary of FACLA’s foundation day.
