Grupong Aquino Yumayaman, Masa- Naghihirap

Pandarambong Lumalala, Kapayapaan Nawawala

US Immigration Crisis Debates Splits Fil-Am Leaders, Rallies Behind Aquino III on DAP Issue.

Los Angeles—Filipino-American leaders were evenly split on the American current immigration crisis wherein more than 52,000 unaccompanied minors crossed the borders to emigrate to the United States. The TALAKAYAN also ocused on the demands of some opposition leader for DBM Secretary Butch Abad to resign and the president Aquino III to take a stand on the DAP issue after the Supreme Court decision that declared “DAP as unconstitutional.”

FACLA President Jun Baul expressed misgivings that “if the US authorities will allow these unaccompanied minors to stay in the US, it will only encourage more illegal immigration in the country and will drain us of much need resources.”

Dr. Orly Cagampan on the other said, “ it had open the floodgates at the border and warrant an emergency response. Now President Obama is asking for $ 3.7 B to be allotted for this unforeseen emergency.”

On the other hand, Atty Terry Herrera explained the problem, “ the US must apply the rule of law but we must remember that justice must be tempered with mercy. To just deport all those unaccompanied children as inhumane. I foresee that America will find solution to this immigration problem.”

The DAP Issues

Again, last Thursday, July 10, the TALAKAYAN focused on the demand of some opposition leader for DBM Secretary Butch Abad to resign and the president Aquino III to take a stand on the DAP issue after the Supreme Court decision that declared “DAP as unconstitutional.”

KOR California leader Tony Berango reiterated, “ It will take away time, resources and effort if we will just focus to impeach President Aquino when even the Supreme Court explained that not everything in the DAP is wrong.”

Alliance leader Art Garcia said, “ I think President Aquino III still enjoys enough popularity even if the course of justice grinds exceedingly slow. We know see that a former president (PGMA) is in jail. Also three accused senators and their people are also in jail. Who can argue with that?”

Feeding Program on July 26 at FACLA

IPAGDIWANG ANG TAGUMPAY NG MASA LABAN SA PDAF AT DAP PAIRALIN ANG BATAS NG PANTAY-PANTAY AT PANAGUTIN ANG MGA MANDARAMBONG NG YAMAN NG BAYAN

ALLIANCE NEWS

July 8, 2014

Let Justice and Truth Prevail, Punish All the Guilty Speedily, Fully and Thoroughly

USAP CoalitionPress Statement

July 06,2014

Let Justice and Truth Prevail, Punish All the Guilty Speedily,  Fully and Thoroughly

Los Angeles- Mabuhay Ang Tagumpay Ng Laban ng Masa sa PDAF at DAP!

US Action Against Pork Barrel or PDAF (USAP) Coalition gives it heartfelt congratulations to everybody in the Filipino American community and the Filipino people after the public pressure give way to the Philippine Supreme Court to rule that the DAP like the PDAF is “ unconstitutional.”

We have all ourselves to thank for our unrelenting vigilance and mass actions all over the United States. Now that the accused in the PDAF and DAP scandals; Senators Juan Ponce Enrile, Jinggoy Estrada, Bong Revilla and co-accused; Janet Napoles, Richard Cambe, Gigi Reyes and others, are all in jail, the grind of the wheels of justice have started to roll.

It took us, eight months to see the fruits of labor and we want to pursue our quest for justice and want it to be fully enforced no matter who is involved.

USAP Alarmed with the Callousness of the Accused.

The USAP Coalition meanwhile,  expressed alarm at the temerity and the callousness of those who were charged wit plunder for  they flaunt their privileges disregard of them law even in jail where they received different kinds of special treatment like partying all nights and demanding special privileges.

For USAP, President Aquino III shares the blame on this utter disrespect for the law of by those of the  accused . By saying Enrile should receive special considerations because of  his age, Aquino is giving leeway to the former architect of martial law and is giving special treatment to those accused with plunder rendering inutile all efforts for them to remorse for their crimes.

The USAP Coalition again reiterate the call of the Filipino people in the Philippines and abroad; punish all those who are charged with plunder, speedy trial and exact justice; let justice prevail and let the guilty suffer.

Justice delayed is justice denied!

Let justice Prevail!
