ALLIANCE JOINS SOLIDARITY ACTION ALL ACROSS THE US AGAINST FERGUSON INJUSTICE.
Los Angeles- From Los Angeles to New York, From Coast to Coast the Alliance Philippines joins the people’s protests against the injustice of the Ferguson verdict.
Arturo P. Garcia, National Coordinator of the Alliance said, “ today in Missouri, Jim Crow Laws lives. It was proven by the predominantly majority White-Court led by a pro-police prosecutor who used the lengthy non-indictment of Officer Wilson to lambast the media and social media for its ‘biased reporting” and decided not to indict police officer Wilson.
The Alliance is deeply disappointed in POTUS Obama who echoed the pro-police prosecutor’s bias against the media and social media as he appeals for calm and obedience to the “rule of law” that refuse to take its course and defend the lawless.”
Ferguson Burns, Injustice Reigns
Garcia said, “ the deep animosities and frustrations about the injustice in Ferguson with the non-indictment of the police officer who killed Brown was shown in the on-going police violence and the resistance of the demonstrators.
We condemned the police and the National Guard in Missouri who tear-gassed ,shot at the people with bean bags and used armored cars for dispersal. The Ferguson and Missouri police acted violently than thew third world countries in their violence against the demonstrators. It was the SOP of the Marcos martial law in shooting and using armored cars against demonstrators in the Philippines.
In Solidarity, We Will Overcome
We cannot and will not condone violence but when demonstrators are left with no defense for themselves can we blame them in starting fires and breaking properties and windows? As Martin Luther King said, “Riot is the language of the unheard.”
Let us anchor ourselves on the essence of the debate in Ferguson. Who caused the injustice in the first place? How can the Obama administration and the Missouri State government defend injustice and the law and ask for tolerance when they themselves are intolerant, lawless, violent and unjust?” Garcia ended.
The Alliance support and join the mass actions all over the nation. From Los Angeles to New York, From San Diego to Seattle, From Coast to Coast and all directions. Struggle for justice. To Rebel is Justified
