ALERT ON CENTRAL LOS ANGELES, BUGLARY CASES UP

Los Angeles -ALERT: Watch Out For buglars and Thieves. Lock Windows and Doors when You are Away.

At least 10 burglaries and attempted burglaries, most of them in Silver Lake, were reported between Dec. 31. and Jan. 6, according to CrimeMapping.com. In addition, three robberies were also reported in Echo Park during the same period.

The LAPD’s Northeast Division warned residents to lock windows and doors before they leave home in the wake of an increase in burglaries in which cash and jewelry were taken.

During the past month, at least 60 homes and 10 businesses have been burglarized in Echo Park, Los Feliz, Silver Lake and surrounding communities, LAPD told NBC4.

In South Echo Park or Historic Filipinotown alone,buglars broke in some apartments at Temple,Rosemont and Reno Streets. They also broke in parked vehicles along N.Bonnie Brae and even at the FACLA compound.
