FILAM LEADERS AWAITS PH PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS, PRODS SEN. GRACE POE TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT IN MAY 2016
Los Angeles- While the Los Angeles FilAm leaders welcomed the results of the recent city-wide elections that brought new and old faces in the City Council, they expressed they desire that Senator Grace Poe declare her intent to run for president for the May 2016 Philippine presidential elections.
In a straw poll conducted in the political discussion, majority of Filipino American leaders present at FACLA last Thursday vote for Senator Grace Poe as the unbeatable presidential timber for the coming May 2016 elections.
Dr. Orly Cagampan said,” Vice-President Binay is a dead meat. He has no hopes with all his scandals brought up by his political enemies against him. He is totally been discredited.”
Cagampan added, “ No matter how he used his money and so called popularity, he will not win in 2016.”
Grace Poe For President Movement
On the other hand, Ceny Reyes claimed,” Many people in the Philippines and here in the United States were frustrated when Sen.Poe stopped the Senate hearings to cover up for President Aquino in the Mamasapano incident. And because of her partiality to the President, They have now doubts on her credibility,”
FACLA President Jun Baul said, “I do not care who win the elections as long they serve and benefits the Filipino people,” He also noted there are other candidates that are for sure will contest the presidency.
Guest resource speaker Bobby Reyes said, “we are spearheading the Grace Poe For President Movement in California . She has all that a resident has to run as president in May 2016 and she will win.”
EPCC leader Arturo Garcia said, “ More and more people in the Philippines want Grace Poe to run for president. We are sure that she will make the appropriate announcement months before the filing of the application for presidency in November 2015.”
