IT’S ALL SET AND GO FOR THE 3rd HISTORIC FILIPINOTOWN PARADE ON JUNE 6, 2015

The 3rd PH Independence Day Parade Organizing Committee (3rd HFTPIDOC) announced that everything is all set for the 117th PH Independence Day Historic Filipinotown Parade on June 06, 2015 is all set.
FACLA’s Secretary Al Garcia said, ” During the last 3HFTPIDOC meeting last May 19, 2015 held at the Sunset Office of CD 13 Councilman Mitch O’Farrell,the group have finalized the route of the parade, outreach and other preparations for the event.”
New Groups Joined In
Garcia also announced that new groups are the Binibining Pilipinas-USA/Insider productions, Kabataang maka-Bayan (KmB), Knights of Rizal-California Chapter, HIFI CALIEXPO, SMR LLC, Echo Park Community Coalition (EPCC),HIFI Indie Film Festival LLC, Historic Filipinotown People’s Council (HFPC),LASOS, GALA, Disciples Church of the Filipino Christian Church (FCC), Rampart Village Neighborhood Council (RVNC), People’s CORE, S4PACE and District 1 Council Office of Council Member Gil Cedillo have joined the parade.
LAKAMIBINI NG KALAYAAN CORONATION NIGHT ON JUNE 5 AT CASTAWAY BURBANK
This time the 117th Philippine Independence Day Celebrations in Historic Filipinotown of Los Angeles has grown bigger and better and will have three major features:
1) The LAKAMBINI NG KALAYAAN 2015 Coronation will be held on June 5 at 6:30 PM at the Castaway Restaurant in 1250 Burbank CA, 91501. The event will start at 6:30 PM. Ticket are for $ 65.0o and are available.
The winner of the said contest will be the LAKAMBINI NG KALAYAAN will be the Queen of the Parade for the 3rd Historic Filipinotown Parade on the next morning, Saturday, June 06, 2105.
2) The 3rd HISTORIC FILIPINOTOWN PH INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE to be held on Saturday, June 06, 2015 from 8;00 AM to 11;30 AM The parade will go around the Historic Filipinotown Temple and Beverly Corridor.
The parade assembly area will start in front of FACLA at 1740 W. Temple St and will assemble at 8:00 AM. The parade will start promptly at 9;00 AM and end also at 11;30 AM at the FACLA compound for an after-parade program at FACLA’s Social Hall.
3)The HISTORIC FILIPINOTOWN INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION AND FAIR to be held after the parade at FACLA Cultural Center on June 6 from 12;00 to 4;00PM.
There will also be food trucks, food booths and service booths from different participating organizations. The public is cordially invited.
